It should be pointed out that Gibran, who died in 1931, intended the present volume as a companion piece to "The Prophet," which appeared about ten years ago and has since been translated into a score of languages; and it should be added that the book is featured by seven remarkable mystical drawings similar to those found in his earlier works.
